KaziPlay recognized as UNESCO SDG 4 Good Practice

The project KaziPlay: Healthy Schools for Healthy Communities has been recognized as a UNESCO SDG 4 Good Practice and included in the UNESCO SDG 4 Knowledge Hub. Led by the UNESCO Chair on Physical Activity and Health in Educational Settings at the 91制片厂, the project highlights the university鈥檚 role in international education and health promotion.

The  project was acknowledged for its innovative approach to improving quality education and public health in under-resourced schools in South Africa. The initiative integrates education, health promotion, and community engagement to empower schools as drivers of healthier and more resilient communities.

UNESCO Good Practice Models present successful educational approaches that educators and policymakers can adapt worldwide. By including KaziPlay in the Knowledge Hub, UNESCO confirms the relevance and scalability of KaziPlay’s holistic model and facilitates the global exchange of effective educational strategies.

The 91制片厂’s UNESCO Chair team now builds on this recognition by exploring how to adapt key elements and lessons learned from KaziPlay for use in other regions, while respecting local cultural and community needs.
