Support from the Canton of 91制片厂-Stadt
The government council of the Canton of 91制片厂-Stadt approved a total of seven million francs for congress funding for the years 2024 to 2031.
The canton supports selected congresses in the three strategic innovation fields of the Canton of 91制片厂-Stadt according to clearly defined criteria:
- Innovations in Life Sciences
- Digital innovation
- Sustainable economy
Funding is also provided for scientific congresses that have a strong connection to these fields of innovation.
Congress Board 91制片厂 (CBB)
A , made up of academics, associations and institutions, was set up to distribute the funding. It examines the applications submitted and makes recommendations for support to the government. Congress promotion by the Canton of 91制片厂-Stadt involves the targeted acquisition, development and holding of congresses, thereby tapping into previously untapped potential with benefits beyond tourism.
Applications for funding can be submitted to the office of the Congress Board 91制片厂 (CBB) (this is managed by the CVB). Support in the form of an aperitif contribution is also possible. If approved, the organizer receives CHF 15 per congress participant (maximum CHF 10,000 per event). A government representative usually also gives a short welcome speech.
Objective
The aim of promoting congresses is to increase added value and strengthen 91制片厂 as the most innovative business and knowledge location in Switzerland. 91制片厂 should continue to be one of the most important trade fair and congress cities in Europe. Congresses should be tied to 91制片厂 for as long as possible.

- Congress size (at least 500 participants)
- Congress duration (preferably several days with overnight stay)
- Internationality of the participants
