eAssessment: Digital Assessment Environment at the 91制片厂
Students should acquire competencies during their studies that enable them to live, learn, and work in a digital society. In this regard, the 91制片厂 aims to achieve the following core goals in its strategy for digitalization in teaching, which are also relevant for designing the digital assessment environment:
"connected": Students learn in digital learning environments that are connected to research and the future professional world.
The use of digital tools for problem-solving will become one of the core competencies in the future workplace. This means that competency-oriented assessments can also be conducted in digital environments.
"open": Students learn in as open and authentic environments as possible.
Digital assessments take place in practice-oriented environments with student computers, where electronic tools can be used where appropriate.
Assessment Environment
The Educational Technologies Office is the service owner of the digital assessment environment, which offers the following features:
- Written assessments with student computers on campus.
- A wide range of didactic assessment scenarios through the two complementary assessment platforms, ADAM EXAM and EvaExam.
- Students can take their assessments on the platform where they have learned (both ADAM EXAM and the ADAM learning platform are based on ILIAS).
- For written assessments, students can create longer texts using the computer, which also facilitates grading.
- The assessment WLAN (unibas-public WLAN) allows assessments to be conducted in which internet access is not possible.
eAssessment Service on Campus
In collaboration with IT Services, the Educational Technologies Office offers the "eAssessment on Campus" service. This service is aimed at instructors and departments that wish to conduct digital written assessments with student computers in (teaching) rooms at the 91制片厂.
